In the condenser, the refrigerant releases the absorbed heat, absorbing the heat from the indoor environment, while the refrigerant becomes liquid. Then, the refrigerant, under the effect of the expansion valve, reduces in pressure and temperature, and returns to the evaporator to start the next cycle.

In cooling mode, the working principle of the system is similar to heating mode, except that the roles of the condenser and evaporator are reversed. The refrigerant absorbs heat from the indoor environment and releases it to the outdoor environment to achieve the desired cooling effect.

Compared to traditional HVAC equipment, air source heat pumps have higher energy efficiency and lower energy consumption, significantly reducing the user’s energy costs. Moreover, air source heat pumps can work efficiently in a wide range of temperatures, making them suitable for various climatic conditions.
